Escaping one madman has she run right into the arms of another? In Victorian England a contagion runs rampant, unbeknown to its citizens. Those afflicted are either killed or confined to a desolate pile of stones on the Yorkshire Moors called Breckenhill Keep. The denizens of that Keep loath the monsters they have become. None more so than Jasper Horton, a refined gentleman in all ways but one He is a werewolf. When Lady Fidelia Montgomery arrives at the Keep, seeking to escape the clutches of the madman who has killed her husband, she unwittingly unleashes the wildness Jasper has gone to such lengths to contain. His love for her puts innocent lives at risk, including Dee's own, and threatens to turn the pretty widow into one of the monsters he abhors. "Perfect for readers who enjoy love stories with substance and a classical supernatural touch."

I now think werewolves are pretty cool! The first book in this trilogy was absolutely fantastic, but I have to say I think this one is even better. I think it's because Dee is a woman who grows through this story. She starts out as a typical wishy-washy Victorian miss, used to doing what others tell her to do. She sees her life in sepia rather than in colour. That is until she meets Jasper - then she becomes hungry for passion and life and is even willing to become a werewolf to get it. I loved Jasper, who finds his wild wolf side at odds with his very proper gentlemanly side.
And it was really great to `see' Phil and Byron again after their HEA (Happily Ever After) of the last book. It was lovely to follow up on their life together - their clashes are very real; things that any couple you know would argue about. In fact, though this is a paranormal tale mixed with elements of fantasy, the characters and their issues are very realistic, as is the feel for the period.

Imprisoned at Werewolf Keep Nhys Glover 9781291726442 Books Reviews
I love love love this trilogy. Awesome writing keeps you turning the pages. I can almost feel like I'm at the keep as well.
'Imprisoned at Werewolf Keep' is a strong sequel to 'Guardian of Werewolf Keep'. Fidelia -the recently widowed girlhood friend of Phil- is every bit the proper lady. However, her grave happenstance decent into the world of the Keep forces her to discover what type of woman she really is as she sheds away the girl she once was. And Jasper (one of Glover's most earnest characters) has more to do with Fidelia's recent changes than he initially wishes, as he is still learning to deal with his lycanthropy and the beasts of burden that come with it.
Glover's gothic imagery and masterful character manipulation create a a true romance where the end is only the beginning. This series is perfect for readers who enjoy smart women, men of substance, and one hell of a chase.
And honestly, while Byron from 'Guardian' was captivating, l just can't get enough of Jasper! I think I've found my new fictional boyfriend. ;)
